About Zac Perry

I've been in music my whole life. At 14 I was playing drums and singing backup in War Against Amy, a punk rock band writing originals. From there I played in punk and rock cover bands, a dedicated Strokes cover band, jazz ensembles, and a Miles Davis tribute performing at jazz and spaghetti nights across the region.

Beyond the stage, I've worked in music therapy — hosting transformational drumming workshops at the Dale Marcell School of Drums, and bringing music into senior homes and youth correctional facilities as a tool for expression, release, and connection. That work shaped how I think about what music is actually for.

About two years ago I launched my solo career, and what started at open mics has grown into regular paid gigs across three formats: solo acoustic shows with a looper and drum pad, full band nights with originals and covers, and live ambient music for yoga and wellness events.

I don't show up with a fixed setlist and a wall between me and the audience. I show up ready to read the room and play something that actually means something.

My debut original "Time Keeps Slipping Away" is out now on all streaming platforms. More on the way.
